About Us
In ARMSS we take pride in our diverse team of staff members, with nearly 90% of our staff is constituted of professional individuals with refugee and migrant backgrounds. They represent all refugee and immigrant communities rather than merely the communities they belong to.
This diversity stands as one of our core strengths, enabling us to communicate effectively with our clients in their native languages, identify their concerns on timely manner, and respond to them in real time of needs. The ethic of our services is not bound to a contract/task to be completed but rather to address the actual needs with patience and compassion – making sure, our clients feel important, listened to, and valued.
Our Philosophy
We believe that in order to achieve equality in outcomes, we should apply equity in the process and not the other way around. This recognition arises from the fact that people come from diverse cultural, religious, economic and educational backgrounds – therefore their needs and challenges are also different. One-size-fits-all all support models cannot be effective, and efficient when working with diverse people like CALD communities.
Our Vision
ARMSS has a vision for a strong, independent and sustained society in which the CALD communities do not only strive but thrive, effectively contributing to the enrichment of Aotearoa’s economy and are involved in all sectors by nationwide agencies to ensure effective inclusion across diverse ethnicities.
Our Mission
Our mission is rooted in our philosophy, emphasizing on the importance of equity in the process to achieve equality in outcomes. Therefore, we advocate with government policymakers to ensure that the support, and resources provided to CALD communities are based on their unique needs and challenges.
